I lived with Steve's family who became my second family in 1964 Mike was the best man at my wedding to Pauline in 1970.

Steve and I used to go to dances at the Gull's Nest and at Lundeen's at Lake Steven's. We cruised Colby in my 1954 Ford and met Larry Dawson racing and losing to him in his 1957 Plymouth. Cruising Colby to the sounds of Roy Orbision's Pretty Wiman in 1964 always got the radio turned up to full volume.

One night we got in late after 2 AM from a dance at Lundeens where Dick & Dee Dee were guest stars. We decided that our excuse was a flat tire and the spare was also flat and we had to get the spare tire reinflated in Everett and get back to the car in Lake Stevens. Luckily we decided that it was left rear tire together. Mike Sr later asked us separately which tire was flat.
