What Happened?

Yes, COVID-19 happened.

On Monday, March 22nd, Steve went to the emergency room with a fever of 102° and a hard time breathing. He took a COVID test and it came back negative, so he was sent home. Three days later, on Thursday the 25th, Steve went back to the hospital and was admitted to ICU. On a roller-coaster ride of getting better then getting worse, hopes rising and hopes dashed, ultimately the virus got the best of Steve and he passed at 3:40PM on April 17th.

In the "silver lining" category, Gail, Eric and Renée were able to be with him when he passed, and Mari, Sharon and her husband Steve, and Tom and his wife Deb were all able to talk to him via Eric's speaker phone on his cell to say "goodbye" and tell him how much he was loved.

A chaplain was there at his passing.

Memorial

The memorial for Steve was held on Sunday, July 18th, at Forest Park (Floral Hall) in Everett, from 1PM to 3PM. The address is 802 E. Mukilteo Blvd., Everett 98203.
